Es el principal componente de las estrellas y los planetas gaseosos.<br \/>\nEn general, el hidr\u00f3geno rara vez se encuentra en estado puro, especialmente en la Tierra. Por ejemplo, a partir de fuentes de energ\u00eda renovables mediante electr\u00f3lisis o de otras fuentes de energ\u00eda, como el gas natural o el petr\u00f3leo, mediante reformado.<\/p>\n<p>La producci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno por electr\u00f3lisis del agua tiene varias ventajas ecol\u00f3gicas, ya que no emite carbono y puede realizarse localmente.<\/p>\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, el hidr\u00f3geno no es una energ\u00eda. Es un portador de energ\u00eda, es decir, transporta energ\u00eda que puede ser utilizada posteriormente. El m\u00e9todo m\u00e1s com\u00fan es el reformado con vapor, que combina el reformado del metano con el vapor.<br \/>\nEl metano (CH4) se somete primero a una etapa de hidrodesulfuraci\u00f3n para purificarlo de las mol\u00e9culas de azufre que pueda contener. fusion-text-6\"><p>El hidr\u00f3geno fue una de las tecnolog\u00edas en el centro de los debates durante la COP 21 celebrada en Par\u00eds en diciembre de 2015. El hidr\u00f3geno debe desempe\u00f1ar un papel importante en la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica como complemento de las energ\u00edas renovables.<\/p>\n<p>Como las energ\u00edas renovables son intermitentes, a veces producen m\u00e1s energ\u00eda de la que la red puede absorber, y otras veces no producen suficiente energ\u00eda para satisfacer la demanda de la red.<\/p>\n<p>Este fen\u00f3meno puede observarse con los paneles solares fotovoltaicos, que producen un excedente de energ\u00eda entre las 10 y las 16 horas, pero no cubren las necesidades de los hogares por la ma\u00f1ana y la tarde.<\/p>\n<p>El hidr\u00f3geno puede utilizarse para almacenar el excedente de energ\u00eda debido a las fuentes de energ\u00eda intermitentes, para superar las limitaciones de la producci\u00f3n descentralizada y, por \u00faltimo, su uso puede reducir considerablemente las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero.<\/p>\n<p>El hidr\u00f3geno tiene, por tanto, un papel relevante
